I found this technology to be fun once completed, but it was extremely difficult to use. Technology and I just don't get along. I however think it is a great idea. I lined the pages and pictures of both my voice thread and book together. I think it would be fun for students to be able to read along and actually physically turn a page (that is so rare these days). I defiantly think this website is good in theory, but at some points during the experience I felt that I was preforming brain surgery. I feel that this would be too difficult for school children to use. It would take a lot of class time to teach the students how to use the website and all, and that would be a lot of instructional time lost. I think that I will use voice thread again in the future, but probably more for personal use. I believe it would be nice to make a memories video for birthdays or send aunts and uncles links to different streams of pictures with personal commentary. I do not however feel that this is altogether a practical option for the typical school classroom.
My story is kind of a mix between Brave, Cinderella, Goldilocks, and Excalibur. My story could not quite decide what it wanted to be. In the book assignment I dedicated the work to all the Normas of the world. We all have little bit of Norma's strength, joy, and love in ourselves somewhere.
